Terms of Service
A concise overview of the basic rules for using GitRooms.
Who operates GitRooms
GitRooms is operated by its maintainer. These terms apply to everyone who uses the service. Questions about them can be sent to legal@gitrooms.com.
Beta service, provided as is
GitRooms is in public beta. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Features may change, break, or be removed, and rooms may be unavailable at times.
Eligibility and age
You must be at least 16 years old to use GitRooms. By using the service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you can accept these terms.
Using GitRooms
You may use GitRooms to create and join rooms connected to GitHub projects. Keep your use lawful, respectful, and aligned with the communities you participate in.
Accounts
You sign in with GitHub. You are responsible for activity connected to your account and for keeping your GitHub account secure.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you share, but you give GitRooms permission to store and display it in the product so rooms can function. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to share it.
Community conduct
Do not harass, threaten, or abuse others; do not post spam, malware, or deceptive links; do not post illegal, infringing, or sexually exploitative content; and do not impersonate people or projects. Respect the rooms you join.
Moderation and removal
Room owners and GitRooms may remove content, mute or ban members, and limit or suspend access at their discretion to protect users, projects, and the service. You can report abuse at gitrooms.com/report.
Copyright
If you believe content on GitRooms infringes your copyright, follow the process on our DMCA page and send a notice to dmca@gitrooms.com.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GitRooms and its maintainer are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using GitRooms and delete your account at any time from your Settings page. We may suspend or terminate access if you break these terms or to protect the service and its users.
Changes to these terms
GitRooms may change over time. When meaningful product or policy changes happen, we will update this page and its date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
